The challenge
Belmond, part of LVMH, runs some of the UK's best-known hotels, including The Cadogan in Chelsea and Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons in Oxfordshire. Both still relied on mechanical keys and legacy card readers — unreliable for staff, and out of keeping with the brand at the one point every guest touches: the door.
What we did
We specified and installed cloud-managed access control at both properties, covering guest lifts, back-of-house corridors, service entrances and staff-only areas. Access rules are set by role and by zone, and the system is linked to the hotels' property management systems, so credentials stay in step with check-in and check-out without anyone re-entering them.
The outcome
Facilities teams now manage both hotels from one platform, with a full audit trail of door activity. Staff find it far easier to run, and guests move through controlled doors without friction.
