The challenge
Softcat — a FTSE 250 IT infrastructure business with more than 1,500 staff — had grown into nine UK offices, and each had arrived with its own CCTV and access control. None of it talked to the rest, much of it was ageing, and every site meant a different interface and a different maintenance arrangement.
What we did
SEG Core surveyed all nine offices and replaced the mixed estate with one platform: cameras on entrances, receptions, server rooms and car parks, and access control on every entry and secure-zone door. We integrated Softcat's Active Directory, so credentials follow the directory the business already runs rather than a separate list of fobs.

The outcome
Nine management interfaces, and the maintenance contracts that came with them, became one platform. The rollout ran across all nine sites without disrupting the working day.
