Dwyer Omega

Role-based access control with the electrical work in-house

Verkada door controller
Verkada door controller

The challenge

Dwyer Omega's operational site has staff, visitors and contractors sharing one building, with areas that not everyone should be able to enter. Access needed to be controlled properly rather than left to whoever held a key.

What we did

SEG Core installed the access control and delivered the door hardware, cabling and power in-house, so there was no separate electrical contractor to coordinate. Permissions are set by role, so each person's access matches what their job needs.

The outcome

Access now follows job roles rather than keys, can be changed centrally in seconds, and every door event is logged.

The Verkada side of this project is written up in full on our Verkada specialist site, verkadacctv.co.uk.
